Lil Wayne Cancels On Jimmy Kimmel, Host Enlists Impersonator

WE ARE HIP HOP! ARE YOU?

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel was stood up by Lil Wayne last night. The rapper was slated to be a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night but he was a last minute no-show. Ever the improvisor, the confused Jimmy called on a random audience member named Carl to don a Wayne-esque ensemble (translation: a wig of fake dreadlocks and baseball cap) and take his place during the interview. The faux Weezy lightheartedly tried to play along.

He claimed he was late because he was too busy "listening to the radio" and thought he was incarcerated for eight months due to "speeding." Fake Wayne read "To Kill A Mockingbird" during his jail stint and forgot his own hometown of New Orleans. Bone up on Wikipedia, Carl!
For those wondering about the whereabouts of Tunechi, he was busy performing during Caesars' Entertainment "Escape To Total Rewards" yesterday in Los Angeles. The mega-concert series included simultaneous shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and New Orleans featuring acts like Mariah Carey and Diddy.
In other Wayne news, the YMCMB head honcho and just-signed act Limp Bizkit will release a joint single "Ready to Go" next week. "As both an artist and someone who has signed artists, I can say without a doubt that Cash Money is at the top of their game," Durst said. "What attracted me to the label is not only their great taste and hustle, but their belief in their artists and the family atmosphere. Slim and Birdman allow their artists to be themselves and encourage creative output and continued development. I look forward to bringing my vision as a director as well as my voice to the label and to Limp Bizkit putting out some of our best music to date."
