Royce Da 5'9 Announces Solo Canadian Tour

Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5'9 announced this week that he will embark on a solo tour through Canada, beginning Thursday (February 9), in support of his 2011 solo album Success Is Certain.

The upcoming tour kicks off in Sydney, Nova Scotia on Thursday, as the Detriot rapper travels through a string of Canadian cities -- including Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, and Windsor -- before he wraps things up in Waterloo on March 4th.

"I really enjoy touring in Canada because the people are so live," Royce said. "They have so much energy and show so much love up there... I can't wait to reconnect with friends there."

2011 was an exceptionally good year for the "bad" half of Detroit's own Bad Meets Evil, comprised of Royce and partner-in-rhyme Eminem. Last summer, the duo released their long awaited EP, Hell: The Sequel, which featured the Bruno Mars-assisted double platinum-selling single, "Lighters," and the gold certified single, "Fast Lane."

With 2011 behind him, Royce expected 2012 to be even brighter with the upcoming release of the anticipated Slaughterhouse LP, Welcome To: Our House, the first via their deal with Shady Records.

"I've been a solo artist for the majority of my career, so to enjoy so much success as a member of both BME and Slaughterhouse feels surreal," said Royce of his upcoming group album.

Following his solo tour through Canada, Royce will hit the road with Slaughterhouse in support of Our House, due out May 15th.
