Jay-Z does everything big; even poached eggs and mimosas. The rap honcho is hosting his annual Roc Nation Grammys brunch this Saturday in what will undoubtedly be one of Grammy weekend's most anticipated and exclusive soirees. Set at the swanky, members-only Soho House in West Hollywood, Hov will host an anticipated array of famous faces from music, Hollywood and general awesomeness including Rihanna, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Ryan Seacrest, Rashida Jones and LA Reid.
According to the LA Times, "The menu will include passed smoked salmon on brioche and Kobe short rib sliders, mini parfaits, a crepe station, and two bars — one omelet, one booze." Start salivating now. An A-list lineup of DJs like Samantha Ronson will spin for invitees so expect "Niggas In Paris" to be spun back more than once.
Last year's Roc Nation fete was co-hosted along with Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini, celebrating the art of music and the special-edition collection of Gucci Grammy watches and jewelry items. "I was looking for a partner, a very strong one, the day before the Grammys," Giannini explained of her decision to pair up Hov "I think Jay-Z is the boss of this industry. He is a very iconic person, and I think he is the best. So as a designer, I always say I find an incredible inspiration coming from musicians who are in the music industry. Fashion and music, they have always been together because I think we are looking to musicians and musicians are looking to fashion."
Multi-genre Grammy nominees, performers and presenters like Rihanna, Kings of Leon and Sean Garrett rubbed elbows with actors Ryan Phillippe, Adrien Brody and Ellen Pompeo while Mark Ronson, Samantha Ronson, Solange and D-Nice entertained at the DJ booth.
