New Limp Bizkit, Lil Wayne Single Due Next Week

Both fans of Limp Bizkit and Lil Wayne were surprised last week when it was announced that Fred Durst and crew had inked an official deal with Cash Money Records, and now a collaboration will come sooner than expected. A spokesperson for Cash Money confirmed to MTV News that next week the label will release a new single next from Limp Bizkit, featuring Lil Wayne, titled "Ready to Go."

Not much is known about the first new music from the "Nookie" act since their surprise signing to the label, but in a statement announcing the roster move, co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams said, "We have always admired how they have been able to blend rock and hip-hop and will bring a unique sound to the label." His partner, Ronald "Slim" Williams, added, "We are excited to see the work and collaborations that come from the entire Cash Money family with the addition of Limp Bizkit."

"As both an artist and someone who has signed artists, I can say without a doubt that Cash Money is at the top of their game," Durst said. "What attracted me to the label is not only their great taste and hustle, but their belief in their artists and the family atmosphere. Slim and Birdman allow their artists to be themselves and encourage creative output and continued development. I look forward to bringing my vision as a director as well as my voice to the label and to Limp Bizkit putting out some of our best music to date."

On Thursday, Birdman told Billboard that the song will be "a great way to let the world know that [Bizkit] is part of us," revealing that the band's frontman, Fred Durst, hit the studio in Miami the week after the Grammy awards to bang out the single. "It's rock, but it's hip-hop rock," Birdman added. "I think we got that hip-hop-rock swagger."

He said that after Bizkit finish their tour of Australia, they will shoot a video with Wayne for the song and then continue work on the album, which they've already started tracking while on tour. "They're just gonna go in and get it done," he said. "We're looking to put an album out this year, but right now we're dropping the single with him and Wayne, and we're gonna vibe from there. Fred's all the way in — he understands what we're about, hard work and dedication. To me, they're one of the hardest workers."

R. Kelly returns from his musical hiatus with the new track "Share My Love." Imbued with old school flavor and plenty of emotion, "Share My Love" is in the same sonic vein as his last album Love Letter. Dipped in creamy soul, the uptempo number just begs to be stepped to. The ditty is high on romance and low on Kells' signature bumping and grinding, but the singer's tongue-and-cheek foreplay skills are well intact. "Populate/Let's get together/Populate," he croons. What woman could resist?

R. Kelly Adding 32 Chapters To 'Trapped In The Closet' Series

"Share My Love" is the first single from the singer's upcoming studio album, a follow-up to Love Letter dubbed Write Me Back. Although details have been vague, the album is now slated for release on March 27. This news is a bit of a deviation from what Kelly shared last year about his new music. He told 107.5 WGCI's Morning Riot radio show in Chicago that his next album would be a sexually-charged offering called Black Panties, similar to the raunchy classic 12 Play. In that interview, Kellz didn't reveal much more about the new album, but did say that the first single, titled "10 Minutes" would be coming soon.

 Machine Gun Kelly saw both good times and bad while in Florida last week for a couple of concerts. He was arrested, then released for disorderly conduct in St. Petersburg, but not before he successfully performed there on Saturday and in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday.

Mikey T The Movie Star caught up with the Cleveland rapper after his rowdy show at Club Revolution in Fort Lauderdale to talk about his Bad Boy Records deal and upcoming single.

“They gave me full creative control,” MGK said if his Bad Boy deal. “I have creative control over everything on my project. It’s worked out for me well. They let me grind and they don’t hand me sh*t. I don’t have a csilver spoon with that label, and that’s what I asked for. Puff is a big brother to me. I signed for 2 [albums].”

MGK’s “Wild Boy” single with Waka Flocka has been making some noise. He’s getting ready to follow that up with the release a new single entitled “Rain.”

“A song called Rain [is my next single]. I’m really excited about that song. It’s a deep song,” he said. “It’s the opposite of Wild boy. A very revolutionary, rebellion type of message.“
