Lil Wayne Spills Details On His Skateboard Injury

WE ARE HIP HOP! ARE YOU?
By Rob Markman
In the past few months, Lil Wayne's passion for skateboarding has become more evident. Early this year he rolled out his Trukfit skateboard clothing line, and just yesterday we shared pictures of the Young Money all-star skateboarding with Justin Bieber. As part of his new lifestyle, however, Weezy has learned to deal with mishaps, like the recent shoulder injury he sustained while at home in Miami.

"Unfortunately I was skating and I tried to do an ollie down one of my banks and I tailed out at the end of it," Weezy said in a clip from DJ Scoob Doo's upcoming "The Nino Brown Story" DVD that was given exclusively to MTV News.
On Sunday, Weezy put out the third installment of his viral video series "Weezy's Sports Corner," sitting in front of the camera with his arm in a sling. In the clip provided to MTV News, the Young Money boss broke down the injury. "I kinda didn't separate it — hopefully I didn't separate my shoulder, but if it was separated I wouldn't be able to move it," he said, showing off his new Trukfit tee for the camera. "I probably strained a muscle. I don't know the name of the muscle, my therapist told me the name of it — I'm not sure. We were thinking I probably sprained the muscle, which is like a slight tear, which will probably take a few days to heal. A few days and I'll be back."

Looks like Wayne is already back. On Wednesday Justin Bieber tweeted a picture of him and Wayne standing by a skating ramp, though it is unclear whether Weezy actually got on a board or whether he is wearing his sling.
It's not the injury that has him down. In August 2011, Weezy had to get nine stitches after a skating accident in St. Louis during his I Am Still Music Tour. But that spill didn't keep Weezy off the ramps. "I ain't worried about the pain, it hurts like hell but the worst thing is that I couldn't really skate," he said. "I always get injured but I never get an injury where I can't get back on the board. Remember we had the nine stitches? That didn't mean we couldn't skate the next day, so we skated the next day."

DJ Whoo Kid Goes In About Night Of Kanye West Car Accident & Stars Success Predictions (Video)

WE ARE HIP HOP! ARE YOU?

DJ Whoo Kid has been sitting down with
ThisIs50.com and host Jack Thriller over the past several weeks for a series of videos in which he speaks incidents throughout his journey in the entertainment biz that have been untold ... until now. Previously, Whoo Kid spoke about being chased out of a Los Angeles nightclub by Suge Knight ... and this week, discusses  working with Kanye West the night of his infamous car crash that sent the hip-hop star to the hospital and served as the topic of his breakout single, "Through The Wire."
In the interview clip, the G-Unit DJ details the evening of that fateful night. According to Whoo Kid, Kanye West was in a Los Angeles studio providing a beat for a track Ludacris was to spit on for one of the DJ's mixtapes. But, Ye had other plans -- he was still unknown as a solo artist, so he was trying to impress Luda with his skills.
This put a wrench into Whoo Kid's evening, because Luda wasn't trying to hear it. He wanted to lay down the verse and leave, but Kanye wasn't holding things up. So, the DJ admits to blowing smoke of the Chicago star's ass, telling him how dope he was and wanted to do a video interview ... just so he could get him out of them.
During the interview, Kanye predicted his success and all the things he would do waaaay before it happened -- from working on a collabo album with Jay-Z to being a trendsetter in fashion.
When he left, he sped off recklessly, and ended up getting into a serious car accident, and the rest is history. Life's a trip, isn't it?
