We Are Hip Hop! Are You?

However, you also need to believe that such thing is totally true. Just ask yourself. Can you find someone who loves hip hop music? Of course, you will definitely not find it difficult to find such a person and yes all people have their own favorite music. But the people that love hip hop need the music it gives them entertainment and relaxation. And the taste of the people in this field can be different from one to the other.Im talking about a kind of music genre that is more then something that just plays in the background no sir this is in your face you live and breathe it.You walk with it and sleep with it.It is my passion my love and my life My Everything! But it is commonly Known as Hip Hop. Of course, you have already been familiar with this kind of music genre. It is even possible that you are just as much of a junkie of this music genre as i em.

Well, for you who do not really understand about this kind of music, you can imagine a kind of music that incorporates every emotion and invoke love and admiration in its listeners.people that don't get or understand hip hop mite say that it is quite monotone in the tone choice and boring. However, however this is not the case and actually such music is far from boring.and iv even heard people say things like "The tone choice is not really dynamic because this music genre is like people talking. However, at some time, the song can be quite ears catchy especially when the song has hit the chorus part." these type of people are what we in the world of Hip Hop Call Hata's.these people are completely oblivious missing The special part of this music genre,or maybe they just cant relate because there from a completely different world.in no other form of music is there such creativity and life put into it.to some people less passionate This matter is usually called rap. Another distinctive point of this music genre is the lyrics which are contained in the song. The lyrics are rather satirical, ironical, and sometimes brilliant at the same time. It is sure that not all people can deal with this kind of music because the singer needs to be capable of singing or saying the lyrics rapidly. Slip of the tongue is something That is never tolerated.
What about the beats? You say. what more can i say except the rite beat can take you to a place no car can.But once again we always have our hata's and again quoting anonymous Hata "Rap Similar to the tone, the music is actually quite monotonous." This is just crazy to me the beats are totally great. It is good to dance to and other recreational activities we wont speak on 'laughing'. Well, those things that have been stated before can be used as the reasons why this music genre can be loved so passionatley and why some people hate it.Its like anything great there is good and bad in everything. Its Great That Hip Hop is loved and hated world wide it means Hip Hop is finally getting the recognition it deserves.Hip Hop's popularity has opened doors So that many hip hop artists can gain a lot of money because of their music. That is why it is also normal that at this recent time, there are so many music records companies which are willing to recruit the hip hop artists because of the popularity of this music genre. The recording companies can be huge and can be on a independent level.Such as us here at PRETTY DIRTBALL RECORDS However, the point here is the fact that hip hop has gone worldwide. Take the example of http://Prettydirtball.com which is also a kind of the web page of a recording company for hip hop music. There are several artists which are under this recording company. By visiting the website, you can learn more about it as well as purchasing the crazy Hip Hop Merchandise which are offered.
if you have read down this far thank you sincerely your fellow Hip Hop Junkie And Avid Supporter.

Homosexual Hip Hop subculture? Proof

"Terrance Dean, a former executive at music channel MTV, has penned a memoir  of his life and times in the hip hop industry as a gay man. It is an explosive exposĂ© of a thriving gay subculture in an aggressively male business, where anti-gay lyrics and public homophobia are common.
Perhaps not surprisingly, many in the industry are nervous about the book's publication this week, fearing that it will expose some of the top black names in music and Hollywood as secretly gay. But Dean said that his memoir was not intended as a way of outing famous people. 'I was never tempted to name any names. The book is not about outing people. I wrote it so that people realise the industry has a gay subculture and we are part of this music,' he said."

Mister Cee has plead guilty to charges stemming from an arrest made in March 2011.
Reports have surfaced that Mister Cee, a well known deejay and producer, was allegedly arrested and charged with lewd conduct last week. Cee, whose real name is Calvin Lebrun, was reportedly engaged in a sexual act with a man in a parked car in New York at the time of his arrest, according to Diary of a Hollywood Street King, the site that originally broke the story.
Another site, Animal, confirmed that a Calvin Lebrun was arrested last week with the same charge, public lewdness, along with another charge, exposure of a person. Animal confirmed this using the New York State Unifying Court System website, which has this information as public record.
Mister Cee's colleague at Hot97, Funkmaster Flex, recently disputed the allegations saying that the story is only a rumor.
>"Earlier this evening, a rumor went viral through multiple social media platforms stating that Mr. Cee was arrested for committing a lewd act. Please be advised this rumor is not true," Flex wrote on his site. "Stating false allegations about somebody and presenting it as valid information is unethical."
Along with being a deejay on Hot97, Mister Cee has had a storied journey within Hip Hop. He was originally a deejay for Big Daddy Kane and later was an associate executive producer on Notorious B.I.G.'s Bad Boy debut, Ready to Die. As noted, he currently works as a deejay for New York's Hot97.
Fat Joe sat down with Vlad TV and shared some interesting views on homosexuality in the hip hopcommunity.
The interview started off with Vlad asking Joe about Mr. Cee’s arrest when he was caught engaging in oral sex with another man this past April. Joe shrugged it off by replying “Mr. Cee is a legend…whatever his preference is, more power to him.”  Joe then goes on to say that there are indeed gay rappers and has most likely collaborated with a few of them.  Joe also thinks it’s ridiculous for people to deny who they are–“It’s 2011 goin’ on 2012, I think if you gay, rep yo’ set.”  Watch video below to hear Joe’s thoughts on who is really running the game in hip-hop:

Porn star  Memphitz and his company ACAgency offered Waka Flocka $420,000 to star in a gay-porno. Memphitz says he usually doesn’t partake in Youtube videos until he is angered, so we are guessing he is angry! Waka Flocka and Memphitz’ people conversed back and fourth where he claims they agreed to do a porno together if Waka Flocka’s career didn’t go as planned. After a back and fourth struggle to lock down Waka, things fell sour…

gay rappers tranny festish LL Cool J

Did LL Cool J Pay to Stop The National Enquirer From Telling the World About His Tranny Fetish?
It’s widely known that LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith, is an abbreviation for “Ladies Love Cool James” — but now, those ladies may want to reconsider their admiration for the hip hop icon turned sex symbol.
That’s because LL Cool J reportedly has a secret sexual fetish for men who dress like women — tranny’s who work the track selling sex for money.
You may remember just last week we first told you about Toni Newman, a tranny and former NYC prostitute, who says he/she experienced LL Cool J and his fetish first hand. This after LL Cool J reportedly picked Toni up near NYC’s infamous 14th street red light district, and paid for Toni’s sexual services.
It’s a story which Toni says he/she brought to the attention of The National Enquirer. Not surprisingly, the popular gossip publication showed great interest — so much so that Toni says one of its staff members, Sarah Cordes, interviewed Toni for three long hours before paying upwards of $500 to have Toni tested by polygraph. Toni says she passed the test “with flying colors” and was immediately signed to an exclusive three-week long contract with The National Enquirer stipulating that Toni not speak to any other news organization until the story broke. It’s a contract which Toni says she was later released from after The National Enquirer reportedly “worked a deal out with LL Cool J” — leading them to kill the story.
HSK EXCLUSIVELY HAS A COPY OF THAT FOUR-PAGE CONTRACT HERE
I have a strong feeling that this gay rapper news could hurt LL’s rap career, yet boost his Hollywood acting ventures.
Don’t you agree?

Battle Of Legends Krs-One VS Rakim

KRS-One VS Rakim
Ok so i wanted to start my life of posts in here with some classics two guys that paved the way for many other people to have a chance in this thing called hip hop.

KRS-ONE
Lawrence Krisna Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One (an acronym for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone), and Teacha, is an American rapper. At the 2008 BET Awards, KRS-One was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for all his work and effort towards the Stop the Violence Movement as well as the overall pioneering of hip hop music and culture.
Needless to say this man does work he played a major role in hip hop music and its culture.Yes i can sit here and tell you all his accomplishments but this is a battle lets get to facts and albums.
We can start with my personal favorite.

Criminal Minded
Criminal Minded by Boogie Down Productions
is a highly influential[1] hip hop album. Production on the LP is credited to 'Blastmaster' KRS-One(Lawrence Krisna Parker) and DJ Scott La Rock (Scott Sterling), but in interviews it has been revealed that an uncredited Ced-Gee (Cedric Miller) of The Ultramagnetic MCs had a key role in crafting the sound of the LP - the back cover, however, carries the message "a special thanks to Ced Gee".

just a little more background i thought was interesting
Released in early 1987, the album heavily sampled records from James Brown and AC/DC and also had a dancehall reggae influence. The songs “South Bronx” and “The Bridge is Over” ignited the rivalry with the Queens-bred emcee MC Shan and the Juice Crew .
The album is also credited with providing a prototype for East Coast gangsta rap. For instance, the cover, which showcases Parker and Sterling surrounded by an arsenal of weapons, was hip-hop’s first major release to feature members brandishing firearms. The album also contained several seminal hardcore songs such as “9mm Goes Bang,” one of the first hip-hop songs to be based around a first-person crime narrative, and "P Is Free," which details an encounter with a drug-abusing prostitute.
The liner notes of Criminal Minded read, "peace to Ron Nelson and the Toronto posse". This statement is evidence of BDP's involvement with Toronto's hip hop scene in the 1980s, which produced artists such as Michie MeeDream Warriors and Maestro Fresh Wes.[2]

MY FAVORITE KRS-ONE SONG

RAKIM

William Michael Griffin Jr. (born January 28, 1968), known by his stage names Rakim (or simply Ra), Rakim AllahR.A.K.I.M., and The Master, is an American rapper. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and most skilled emcees of all time.[1][2][3][4] Eric B. & Rakim's classic album Paid in Full was named the greatest hip hop album of all time by MTV,[5] while Rakim himself was ranked #4 on MTV's list of the Greatest MCs of All Time.[6] Steve Huey of Allmusic stated that "Rakim is near-universally acknowledged as one of the greatest MCs -- perhaps the greatest -- of all time within the hip-hop community."[7] The editors of About.com ranked him #1 on their list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007).[8] Rakim began his career as the emcee of the rap duo Eric B. & Rakim.
SIDE NOTE ABOUT RAKIMS EARLIER LIFE
Rakim is the nephew of American R&B singer and actress Ruth Brown. He grew up in Wyandanch, New York, and became involved in the New York hip hop scene at 18. Eric B. brought him to Marley Marl's house to record "Eric B. is President." At the time Griffin was fresh out of high school and on his way to college, but he decided to forgo higher education and instead chose to record with Eric B.[1]
Griffin then known as Kid Wizard was introduced to the Nation of Islam in 1986, joined The Nation of Gods and Earths (also known as the 5 Percent Nation), and took the name Rakim Allah.[9]

My favorite rakim album

PAID IN FULL

On July 7, 1987, the duo released their debut album, Paid in Full, on the Island-subsidiary label 4th & B'way Records. The duo recorded the album at hip hop producer Marley Marl's home studio and Power Play Studios in New York City, following Rakim's response to Eric B.'s search for a rapper to complement his disc jockey work in 1984. The album peaked at number fifty-eight on the Billboard200 chart and produced five singles: "Eric B. Is President", "I Ain't No Joke", "I Know You Got Soul", "Move the Crowd", and "Paid in Full".
"Eric B. Is President" was released as the first single with "My Melody" as the B-side.[10] It peaked at number forty-eight on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and number forty on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales.[11] The track sparked debate on the legality of unauthorized sampling when James Brown sued to prevent the duo's use of his music.[12] PopMattersMark Anthony Nealcalled it "the most danceable hip-hop recording" of 1986.[13] TourĂ© of The New York Times wrote of the song, "It is Rakim's verbal dexterity as well as his calm, deep voice and dark tone that has made this song a rap classic: 'I came in the door/ I said it before/ I'll never let the mic magnetize me no more/ But it's bitin' me/ Fightin' me/ Invitin' me to rhyme/ I can't hold it back/ I'm looking for the line/ Takin' off my coat/ Clearin' my throat/ The rhyme will be kickin' it/ Til I hit my last note.'"[14] The second single, "I Ain't No Joke", peaked at number thirty-eight on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks.[11] Described as one of the album's "monumental singles",[15] Michael Di Bella wrote in the All Music Guide to Rock that "Rakim grabs the listener by the throat and illustrates his mastery of the rhyming craft".[16]
The third single, "I Know You Got Soul", peaked at number thirty-nine on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, number thirty-four on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales, and number sixty-four on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks.[11] The track's production contains "digitized cymbal crashes, breathing sounds, and a bumping bass line."[17] The song popularized James Brown samples in hip hop songs.[18] The British band M|A|R|R|S sampled the line, "Pump up the volume", on their number one UK single, "Pump Up the Volume".[19] Rolling Stone ranked it at number 386 on "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".[20] The fourth single, "Move the Crowd", peaked at number three on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and number twenty-five on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales.[11] The track's b-side, "Paid in Full", was released as a single in 1987 and later remixed by the production duo Coldcut. The remix used several vocal samples, most prominently "Im Nin'Alu" byIsraeli singer Ofra Haza.[19] In 2008, the song was ranked at number twenty-four on VH1's "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs".[21]

MY FAVORITE RAKIM SONG

The point of this battle is for you the fans of hip hop to share your views and to teach some of you that mite love hip hop as much as i do. But have not seen or didn't know that much about these hip hop legends. I will not pick the winner that is up to y'all leave your feedback and votes in the comment box thank you.
